How did you meet your husband?

We met at school, we were in the same year 12 Environmental Science class.

How did your partner propose to you?

Dillon proposed on top of the Glass House Mountain lookout in Queensland. He even got a random to film the whole thing. I was completely oblivious to what was going on!

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?

That is a hard question! Everything about the day was perfect. My favourite part was probably when I walked down the aisle and saw Dillon had tears in his eyes which I never expected. Also all the dancing and fun with everyone as we all celebrated NYE, the end of the decade and our wedding day all in one!

Did you have a theme or concept for your wedding day? What was your inspiration?

A little bit of rustic was in my theme. I just wanted everything to be simple but elegant and match the beautiful venue Waratah Weddings and all it has to offer. Also, Pinterest really is your best friend during your wedding planning!

How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?

Actually, it was a lot easier than expected. Bendigo Bridal Collections was the first and only store I went to. My mum picked a dress she wanted me to try on and when Adele (my cousin who works at the store) helped me put it on, we both knew that it was the one. My mum and best friend had tears when they saw me in it and my mum told me she wouldn’t talk to me if I didn’t purchase it.

What did you love about your wedding gown?

My lace! As well as all the detail of the front and back of my dress. I actually really loved the whole dress so much – I wish we was allowed to wear it more then once!

Any words of wisdom for future brides?

Soak in the whole day as much as you can. Make sure you have a moment to share with your new husband during the reception, the day really flies by. It truly is the best day ever.
